Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia connected Friday (October 17, 2025) said India Post volition rotation retired a guarantee-based work of mails and parcels with transportation timelines of 24 hours and 48 hours.
The Minster said that 24 hours and 48 hours message transportation and next-day parcel transportation volition commencement from January onwards.
"We are going to motorboat caller products with guaranteed transportation of mails and parcels. There volition beryllium 24-hour Speed Post work which volition guarantee transportation of mails wrong 24 hours. Similarly, determination volition beryllium a 48-hour Speed Post for transportation wrong 48 hours," Mr. Scindia said.
These services volition beryllium launched successful January, helium added.
He said that determination volition beryllium akin services for next-day transportation of parcels which volition guarantee that the parcel gets delivered adjacent time from astir 3-5 days astatine present.
The Minister said that the authorities aims to transformer India Post from a 'cost centre' to a 'profit centre' by 2029.
