Dealing different stroke to the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), erstwhile Minister and Ambasamudram MLA Esakki Subaya connected Tuesday (May 26, 2026) met Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar astatine the Secretariat and resigned from his MLA post.

Mr. Subaya was among the 25 rebel AIADMK MLAs, headed by erstwhile Minister S.P. Velumani, who voted successful favour of the Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay-led authorities during the ballot of assurance successful the House connected May 13.

On Monday (May 25), three different AIADMK MLAs — Maragatham Kumaravel (Maduranthagam), S. Jayakumar (Perundurai), and P. Sathyabama (Dharapuram) — resigned arsenic legislators and aboriginal joined the TVK.
