Brothers killed in car accident near Thirupuvanam

In a lorry-car collision mishap near Thirupuvanam here connected Thursday, 2 brothers died connected the spot. 

Police said, brothers Soundarapandi, 52 and Chandran, 48, natives of Mennanthi, Ramanathapuram, residing successful Salem district, on with six of their family members, were connected their mode to be a ceremonial in Ramanathapuram district. 

At Thattankulam near Thirupuvanam on Madurai-Rameswaram National Highway, the car driven by Soundarapandi collided with a truck moving successful beforehand of them.  

The motortruck operator had applied abrupt brake to avoid hitting a bike. The car which was intimately pursuing the truck was incapable to halt successful clip and slammed into the truck’s rear bumper. 

In this accident, Soundarapandi and Chandran died connected the spot. Six other family members, who were injured, were rushed to Government Rajaji Hospital successful Madurai for treatment.  

As the aesculapian squad could not retrieve the mortal remains of the deceased from the damaged car, occurrence and rescue services unit were deployed to region the bodies, constabulary added.  

Thirupuvanam constabulary person registered a lawsuit and further probe is under way.
