A pistillate passenger, N. Nainammal, 43, of Chinnakarpoorampatti, was killed and 11 others, including 8 schoolchildren, were injured erstwhile a TNSTC autobus knocked down an autorickshaw connected Thuvarankurichi-Natham road connected Friday.
The constabulary said that the children from Samuthrapatti on with section radical were travelling the autorickshaw, driven by Chandran, towards Natham, erstwhile the mishap occurred astatine astir 7.30 a.m.
The constabulary said that the autorickshaw that was moving towards the near abruptly came backmost towards the close broadside and the autobus deed it from behind.
In the interaction of the accident, the three-wheeler flew successful aerial for immoderate region earlier falling down.
All those travelling the auto, including the driver, were injured successful the mishap and they were rushed to the Government Hospital successful Natham.
However, Nainammal succumbed to injuries.
Others injured were identified arsenic Divya Shri, 17, Guhan, 14, Charumathi, 15, Mounika, 16, Hairini Shri, 15, Riyaraj, 13, Boomika, 16, Kokila, 17, and section radical Tirupathi, Shahul Hameed.
The Natham constabulary are investigating into the accident.
