Uthangarai constituency braces for a two-cornered contest

Uthangarai (Reserved) constituency, which was formed aft the 2008 Delimitation process, has shaped the constituency into an AIADMK stronghold, with the AIADMK wresting the spot from the archetypal elections successful 2011 onwards. The enactment has won for 3 consecutive terms.

This election, Uthangarai is heading to a two-cornered contest, with the AIADMK returning to the fray with its incumbent MLA T.M. Tamilselvam, who defeated the Congress by 28,387 votes.
