Tamil Nadu rains LIVE: Several districts announce holidays

In presumption of the dense rainfall forecast for respective districts, several districts successful Tamil Nadu person announced schoolhouse holiday connected Monday (November 24, 2025). 

Holiday has been declared for schools successful Virudhunagar, Thanjavur, Tiruchi, Pudukottai, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur, Ariyalur and Karur districts owed to rain.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense rainfall successful Cuddalore, Ariyalur, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Madurai, Virudhunagar, and Ramanathapuram districts, an authoritative merchandise said. The authorities has instructed the Collectors of these districts to instrumentality precautionary measures. While 2 SDRF teams person been deputed to Thoothukudi, 1 squad has been sent to Tirunelveli.
