Salem and Namakkal districts get new SPs

New District Superintendent of Polices (SPs) were appointed successful Salem and Namakkal districts.

The State authorities transferred 56 IPS officers connected Monday (June 16, 2026). Accordingly, Salem SP Gautam Goyal was transferred and posted arsenic Virudhunagar District SP. The Deputy Commissioner of T. Nagar successful Greater Chennai police, S. Kuthalingam, was posted arsenic Salem SP. 

Salem City South Deputy Commissioner, Kelkar Subramanya Balachandra was transferred to Nagapattinam District. The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption SP of Chennai Range, P. Mahendran, was posted successful Salem City South.

Namakkal territory SP S. Vimala was transferred arsenic the SP of the Economic Offences Wing office successful Chennai. Tiruppur territory SP Yadav Girish Ashok was posted successful Namakkal.
