The Department of Women and Child Development, on with the Women’s Dasara Sub-Committee, organised a rangoli contention connected the forecourt of the Mysuru palace connected Tuesday arsenic portion of the Dasara celebrations. Shwetha T.D. from Nanjangud taluk highlighted the dangers of mobile telephone and societal media addiction done her taxable ‘Don’t Be Addicted’. Spandana from Mysuru depicted a pistillate and a lamp, inspired by the State government’s Gruha Jyoti scheme.

Other notable works included Nirmala from Tumakuru portraying Goddess Chamundeshwari seated connected a tiger, Sindhu Lakshmi drafting Goddess Durga with an elephant, Lakshmi from Davanagere depicting the pridefulness of being calved arsenic a woman, and Sunitha from Vijayanagar illustrating Nandi and a Shivalinga.

Rangolis showcasing the Chamundi Hill gopura, Lord Ganesha wrong the Om symbol, the royal emblem of Gandaberunda, a peacock, a Dasara elephant, a chariot, and Balakrishna attracted the attraction of the visitors.

Earlier, MLA for Krishnaraja T.S. Srivatsa inaugurated the rangoli contention offering floral tributes to an Arjuna elephant rangoli created by creator Puneeth from Kurubarahalli.
