U.S. imposes sanctions on Cuban President, Treasury website shows

​​The U.S. connected Thursday (June 4, 2026) imposed sanctions ‌on Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel ​and immoderate affiliated radical and ⁠entities, the U.S. Treasury Department’s website showed.

The Cuban authorities did not instantly ‌respond to a petition for remark connected the sanctions, ‌which besides targeted 4 different ‌people ⁠and 5 entities, including ⁠the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba.

Diaz-Canel, 60, has served arsenic ​President of ‌the Caribbean state since taking implicit from Raul Castro, the member of Cuba’s erstwhile person Fidel ‌Castro, successful 2018.
