All India N.R. Congress laminitis and Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy connected Friday (March 20, 2026) filed information papers for contesting successful the upcoming April 9 Assembly election from 2 constituencies — Thattanchavady and Mangalam — with Returning Officers Arjun Ramakrishnan and C. Senthil Kumar respectively.

According to the affidavit of Mr. Rangasamy, published connected the Elections Department website, the full worth of his movable assets was ₹21,25,752. He had immovable assets (inherited assets) worthy ₹27,78,00,000 and liabilities of ₹35 lakh.

Several Ministers successful the existent Puducherry Cabinet including A. Namassivayam and John Kumar, Speaker R. Selvam, Congress and DMK MLAs besides filed their nominations.
