The National Commission for Scheduled Castes has responded to the allegation by an aggrieved applicant to the station of Registrar of Bharathiar University that the (Appointment) Committee did not person due SC (Scheduled Caste member) representation, by requesting the Higher Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, to taxable the facts.
Citing the ailment lodged by M. Ilanchelian, Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, Bharathiar University, Mr. Ravivarman, Director, National Commission for Scheduled Castes, said successful a missive to the Additional Chief secretary, Higher Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, with a transcript marked to Bharathiar University, that “The Commission has decided to investigate/inquire into the substance successful pursuance of the powers conferred upon it nether Article 338 of the Constitution of India” (to safeguard rights, welfare, and socio-economic improvement of Scheduled Castes successful India).
