The Chilakalapudi constabulary person registered a lawsuit against a 26-year-old antheral and his household members for allegedly marrying a 15-year-old miss and subjecting her to torture.
Following a ailment lodged by the victim, the constabulary registered a lawsuit against the antheral and his household members nether the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and different charges.
The victim, an orphan, alleged that the accused forcibly joined her and, on with his household members, harassed her. The neighbours reportedly alerted the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) of the Women Development and Child Welfare (WD&CW) Department, who rescued the girl.
Speaking to The Hindu, Krishna territory Superintendent of Police V. Vidyasagar Naidu said a lawsuit nether Prohibition of Child Marriage Act (PCMA), 2006, has been registered against the accused.
“Instructions person been issued to publication those who solemnised the matrimony and each others progressive successful the offence nether PCMA,” Mr. Vidyasagar Naidu said connected Saturday (June 13, 2026).
“The miss was presented earlier the Krishna District Child Welfare Committee (CWC). Based connected the victim’s statement, the lawsuit has been referred to the police,” said CWC subordinate Chandragiri Radha Kumari.
