Kerala seeks another Centre of Excellence for rare diseases

The Health section successful Kerala has sought different Centre of Excellence (CoE) for uncommon diseases successful the State, to beryllium acceptable up astatine the Government Medical College Hospital (MCH), Kozhikode.

These centres are designated tertiary attraction hospitals recognised by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the diagnosis, treatment, and probe into uncommon diseases nether the National Policy for Rare Diseases. A fiscal assistance of up to ₹50 lakh is provided to each diligent astatine these places.
