The Government of Andhra Pradesh has appointed Justice Ch. Manavendranath Roy, Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, arsenic the Executive Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA).
The Law Department issued G.O. Ms. No. 1694, dated November 10, 2025, pursuing the proposal of the Chief Justice of the High Court. Justice Manavendranath Roy succeeds Justice Ravi Nath Tilhari, who antecedently held the post.
According to the order, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, successful consultation with the Chief Justice, approved Justice Manavendranath Roy’s information nether Section 6(2)(b) of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, and Rule 3(i)(b) of the Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authorities Rules, 1995.
Justice Manavendranath Roy, who earlier served arsenic a Judge of the High Court of Gujarat, was transferred to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and sworn successful connected October 27, 2025. As per convention, the senior-most Judge of the High Court aft the Chief Justice is nominated arsenic the Executive Chairman of the APSLSA.
