Govt. hikes commercial LPG allocation to 70% amid shortage concerns

Food and Supplies Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa connected Friday said the authorities has accrued the allocation of commercialized LPG cylinders by an further 20%, raising availability from 50% to 70%.

Mr. Sirsa said the determination is aimed astatine supporting industries, migrant workers, and tiny businesses. In a station connected X, the Minister cited the ongoing situation successful West Asia and said the enhanced quota prioritises “labour-intensive sectors wherever LPG usage is essential, including steel, automobile, textile, chemical, and plastics industries, to guarantee continuity successful accumulation and employment”.
