Andhra Pradesh releases ₹17.58 crore second instalment to Guntur Channel farmers

The Andhra Pradesh authorities has released ₹17.58 crore arsenic the 2nd instalment of compensation to farmers who surrendered onshore for the Guntur Channel enlargement project, Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications and Guntur Lok Sabha subordinate Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said.

The compensation has been credited to the slope accounts of farmers from 7 villages, Yanamadala, Prathipadu, Garapadu, Kondepadu, Mallayapalem, GG Palem and Ravipadu, who cooperated with the onshore acquisition for the transmission modernisation and enlargement works.

Mr. Pemmasani said the latest merchandise comes successful summation to the ₹10.54 crore paid earlier, taking the full compensation disbursed to affected farmers to ₹28.12 crore. He said the task is progressing steadily, with coordinated efforts to code issues related to onshore acquisition, money allocation and implementation.

Expressing restitution implicit the merchandise of the 2nd instalment, the curate said the authorities had honoured the spot reposed by farmers by ensuring timely compensation.
