Election officials connected Friday seized 100 dummy Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and 20,600 visiting cards containing photos of DMK Orathanadu campaigner R. Vaithilingam during a conveyance inspection adjacent the Arumbakkam Metro successful the Anna Nagar Assembly constituency successful Chennai. Mr. Vaithilingam, a erstwhile AIADMK Minister, had joined the DMK a fewer months ago.
The materials were recovered from a load autorickshaw, which a Static Surveillance Team intercepted. The squad was led by Sri Sathyan, Assistant Engineer of Zone-4, Greater Chennai Corporation.
