A courier van, which transported ₹40 crore worthy of jewellery, was released aft respective hours of investigations successful Namakkal.

On Friday (March 20, 2026), the predetermination flying squad officials, during vehicle check-ups adjacent Mallur, halted a backstage courier van that transported ₹40 crore worthy of jewellery in 141 boxes to Madurai from Salem. The officials checked the measure and recovered a mismatch and took the conveyance to the Rasipuram Tahsildar office. Information was besides sent to the Income Tax and GST officials, who besides came to the Tahsildar office.

The officials verified each measure with the jewellery until Friday midnight. As due bills were submitted, the van was released from the office.
