To people the ongoing ‘Road Safety Month,’ Ramanathapuram District Collector Simranjeet Singh Kahlon flagged disconnected a two-wheeler consciousness rally connected Friday to accent the value of wearing helmet successful redeeming lives.

Organised by the Regional Transport Office (RTO), successful collaboration with the Police Department, two-wheeler dealers, and driving schools, the lawsuit aimed to foster safer question habits among roadworthy users.

With Road Safety Month being observed from January 1 to 31, 2026, the territory has been hosting a bid of acquisition initiatives. As portion of these efforts, the Collector inaugurated the rally from the District Collectorate complex.

More than 100 participants, each wearing helmets, rode done Bharathi Nagar, Old Bus Stand, and New Bus Stand, earlier concluding the rally backmost astatine the Collectorate entrance.

After the rally, Mr. Kahlon distributed roadworthy information handbooks to commuters and pedestrians. Regional Transport Officer Anand and Motor Vehicle Inspector Thangaraj, constabulary unit and representatives of driving schools were contiguous astatine the event.
