The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) officers of Chennai Customs had foiled attempts to smuggle narcotic drugs, gold, and overseas currency done Chennai International Airport past week.
The coordinated interceptions led to the seizure of implicit 9 kilograms of ganja (cannabis), 594 grams of gold, and overseas currency worthy ₹51.40 lakhs.

Two arrested
Further probe led to the recognition and interception of a man waiting extracurricular the airdrome to cod the baggage. Both of them were arrested.
The Customs seized a full of 594 grams of golden valued astatine ₹52 lakh and overseas and Indian currencies equivalent to ₹51.4 lakh during checks connected Monday and Sunday respectively.
