Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma connected Monday (June 8, 2026) allocated portfolios to 12 recently inducted Ministers.
The Chief Minister retained Home and Political, PWD, Power, Information and Public Relations, and departments not allotted to immoderate different Minister.
Among the elder Ministers Ranoj Pegu retained the Education Department, Ashok Singhal has been allocated his erstwhile Health and Family Welfare, and Medical Education and Research, portion Bimal Borah has been fixed Cultural Affairs and Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises, and Act East Policy Affairs.
The Finance Ministry has been fixed to Mr. Sarma's adjacent subordinate Jayanta Malla Baruah.
