Around 320 metric tonnes of discarded generated connected Chitra Pournami were removed from Tiruvannamalai municipality during a two-day wide cleaning thrust by the Tiruvannamalai Corporation and District Rural Development Agency (DRDA).

Officials of Tiruvannamalai Corporation said that a ample workforce of 2,150 sanitary staff, who are mostly women workers, were roped for the exercise, which was completed connected Saturday, a time aft Chitra Pournami festival.
