Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna has directed railway officials to implicit 32 ongoing Road Over Bridge (ROB) and Road Under Bridge (RUB) projects successful the Tumakuru Lok Sabha constituency by 2026-27.

On June 9, Mr. Somanna reviewed the advancement of railway projects successful Bengaluru and Tumakuru constituencies during a gathering with Chief Administrative Officer Ajay Sharma, and elder officials of the Construction helping of South Western Railway.

According to SWR, the 32 ROB and RUB projects are successful assorted stages of execution. Major projects are underway astatine Panditanahalli, Maidala, Baddihalli, Batavadi, Heggere, Mallasandra, Benchegere, Nittur–Mysuru, Nandihalli Gate, and cardinal railway crossings connected BH Road towards Hassan and Bidiregudi.

The Minister reviewed caller infrastructure, including RUBs and pedestrian subways astatine Hale Shettihalli Gate, Bandihalli Road Gate, Donnere Gate, D. Rampura Gate and Badenahalli Gate, and instructed officials to expedite the commissioning of remaining ROBs, RUBs and Foot Over Bridges.

He reviewed the presumption of enactment connected the 191-km Tumakuru–Chitradurga–Davangere railway line, estimated to outgo ₹1,801 crore. More than 92% of the required onshore has been acquired, and the task is targeted for completion by February 2028.

Officials informed the Minister that 83 km of the 206-km Tumakuru–Rayadurg railway enactment has been commissioned, portion onshore acquisition for the remaining conception has crossed 97%.

Mr. Somanna directed officials to coordinate with the authorities of Karnataka and the territory medication to expedite onshore acquisition, shifting of utilities and statutory clearances to guarantee timely completion of each projects.
