The Andhra Pradesh authorities has fixed the extremity user terms of wheat atta astatine ₹20 per kg for organisation done the Public Distribution System (PDS), with effect from January 2026.
According to G.O. Rt. No. 66 issued by the Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies Department connected Wednesday, wheat allotted by the Government of India nether the “Tide-Over” class is being converted into wheat atta to facilitate easier depletion and amended nutritional intake among beneficiaries.
The authorities stated that the conversion of wheat into atta involves milling, packing, transportation, handling and administrative expenses successful summation to the Central Issue Price of wheat. After examining these costs, the extremity user terms has been fixed astatine ₹20 per kg, which includes ₹1 per kg towards the committee payable to Fair Price Shop dealers.
The determination has been taken successful accordance with the provisions of the National Food Security Act, 2013. The authorities clarified that the revised terms would use to wheat atta distributed nether the PDS from January adjacent year.
