Kumbakonam All Women Police connected Sunday arrested a 62-year-old antheral nether the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a three-and-a-half-year-old girl.
The accused has been identified arsenic Jayakumar, a nonmigratory of Kumbakonam successful Thanjavur district. According to the police, the transgression was committed connected May 14 erstwhile the unfortunate was playing adjacent her house. Jayakumar, her neighbour, reportedly lured the toddler into his location by offering her biscuits and subsequently assaulted her.
