Tourism Minister R. Rajendran and Tamil Nadu Construction Workers Welfare Board (TNCWWB) president Pon Kumar connected Monday said that successful the past 5 years, ₹3,000 crore worthy of payment assistance was provided to operation workers.

Mr. Kumar, said that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced successful Assembly that 10,000 houses volition beryllium constructed each twelvemonth for operation works and implemented the scheme. The matrimony fiscal assistance was accrued to ₹5,000 from ₹2,000; maternity assistance to ₹18,000 from ₹6,000; and accidental decease assistance to ₹8 lakh. For constructing houses, ₹4 lakh was provided for workers who person onshore and for landless people, houses were allocated done the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, helium added.
