26 nominations rejected in Nagapattinam district, 37 accepted after scrutiny

Scrutiny of nominations for the Assembly constituencies successful Nagapattinam territory was completed connected Tuesday with 26 of the 63 nominations rejected by predetermination authorities.

In Vedaranyam constituency, 13 nominations were accepted, including 8 independents. Among recognised governmental parties, nominations of T. Karthik (Naam Tamilar Katchi), N. Pugazhendi (DMK) and O.S. Manian (AIADMK) were accepted. Among registered unrecognised governmental parties, A. Kingsley Gerald (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam) and M. Lingeshwaran (All India Puratchi Thalaivar Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam) were successful the fray.
