Youth held for robbing man of cash at ATM

The Abhiramapuram constabulary connected Tuesday arrested Pandiayraja, 24, from Tirunelveli, for robbing a man at an ATM centre. Police said Syed Mohammed, 31, a nonmigratory of Triplicane, had gone to deposit ₹10 lakh astatine the ATM centre connected Sringeri Mutt Road connected Monday evening.

As helium was wrong the ATM, 2 individuals, wearing helmets, threatened him with a knife, snatched his bag, and fled. Based connected Mohammed’s complaint, the police arrested Pandiayraja, who has 2 transgression cases pending against him, and are searching for his accomplice. A container containing ₹8 lakh was recovered, and a two-wheeler has been seized.
