Hundreds of cadre from Left parties and the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) connected Monday staged protests successful Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai, urging the Union authorities to retreat the 4 labour codes, which they termed “anti-worker”.

In Nagapattinam, the objection was held astatine Avuri Thidal by the CPI(M), CPI, VCK and CPI(ML). Former MLA and CPI(M) territory caput V. Marimuthu, CPI territory caput Sivaguru Pandian, VCK territory caput Nag. Arulselvan, and CPI(ML) territory caput J. Sivakumar led the agitation.

Participants raised slogans demanding that the Union BJP authorities rotation backmost the “anti-labour” legislations and support the rights earned by workers done agelong years of struggle.
