Kalakkad constabulary are connected the lookout for a pistillate who allegedly attacked her neighbour and robbed her of a 7.5-sovereign golden concatenation worthy ₹8.60 lakh.
The constabulary said an unidentified woman, wearing a raincoat and covering her look with a towel, entered the location of Dhanas, 23, of Neduvilai adjacent Kalakkad astir 11 a.m. connected Monday erstwhile her hubby Ponraj, a mechanic, had gone for work.
When the trespasser attempted to snatch the golden concatenation of Ms. Dhanas, she resisted the attempt. In a bid to forcibly snatch the chain, the trespasser attacked Ms. Dhanas with a sickle, successful which the second suffered chopped injuries connected the head.
After the alien escaped with the golden chain, Ms. Dhanas alerted her husband. Based connected her complaint, Kalakkad constabulary registered a case.
During investigation, the constabulary recovered that the attacker was the victim’s neighbour, Ponselvi, 36, who went underground.
The constabulary are searching for Ponselvi.
