Woman arrested for selling painkiller tablets in Salem

The Salem metropolis constabulary seized 1,45,000 painkiller tablets from a pistillate connected Friday. Acting connected a tip-off, the Annathanapatti constabulary searched a location astatine Mettu Street successful Dadagapatti and recovered 1.45 lakh painkiller tablets worthy ₹6.82 lakh, kept for amerciable sales.

Inquiry revealed that K. Megala (48) kept these tablets for sales. Her husband, Kannan (50), was arrested past period by Sooramangalam constabulary for selling painkiller tablets. The Annathanapatti constabulary registered a lawsuit and arrested Megala.
