Stones were thrown connected the Chennai Egmore - Tirunelveli Vande Bharat Express connected Sunday evening betwixt Vriddhachalam and Talanallur railway stations causing damage to the solid windows of six coaches.

Preliminary enquiry revealed a radical of boys aged betwixt 15 and 16, who were walking alongside the railway track, threw stones astatine the bid causing harm to the solid windows of C5, C6, C7, E2, C17 and C18 coaches. 

No injuries to passengers were reported. The Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police person launched a hunt for the boys successful the adjacent villages.

Upon accomplishment of the bid astatine Tiruchi Junction, the divisional railway officers inspected the affected coaches and interacted with passengers and confirmed that nary 1 connected committee had suffered immoderate injury. After inspection of the coaches, the officials confirmed the bid was harmless for further operation.
