Water merchandise from Bhavanisagar Dam into the Kalingarayan Canal has been extended by 22 days, until March 31, 2026.
According to a Government Order No. 151 issued by the Water Resources Department connected March 9, 2026, h2o had been released into the canal for 120 days, from November 10, 2025, to March 9, 2026, to irrigate 15,743 acres successful the ayacut areas. Based connected requests from farmers and the proposal of the District Collector, the authorities decided to widen the h2o merchandise by 22 days, until March 31. The bid stated that the full h2o merchandise during the extended play would not transcend 950.40 cardinal cubic feet.
