The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) councillor of ward 9 successful Krishnagiri Municipality, M. Nagajyothi, was removed from her superior rank by the AIADMK wide caput Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
Ms. Nagajyothi had voted successful favour of the no-confidence question passed by the DMK councillors against the chairperson of Krishnagiri Municipality Farida Nawab, who was besides from the DMK, connected Monday (November 10, 2025). The no-confidence question was passed with a quorum of 27 votes retired of 33 votes, with Ms. Nagajyothi’s ballot captious to the passing of the motion.
In a nationalist notice, Mr. Palaniswami announced the removal of Ms. Nagajyothi from her superior membership.
The AIADMK’s territory caput and Krishnagiri MLA Dr. A. Ashok Kumar confirmed the removal of Ms. Nagajyothi.
