The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) said connected Thursday (April 17, 2026) they are restoring relations with Venezuela, further legitimising the interim authorities and opening caller doors to fiscal support.

Within hours the Venezuelan authorities confirmed it excessively would recognise the narration that has been frozen since 2019.
