V.V. Vijayan, former Thiruvananthapuram Collector, passes away

V.V. Vijayan, retired IAS serviceman and erstwhile District Collector of Thiruvananthapuram, has passed away. He was 90. Mr. Vijayan was Thiruvananthapuram Collector from 1980 to 1983. The precocious Baby Saraswathi, retired pofessor, Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, was his wife. He is survived by his children Seema Thampi, Jaya Vijayan and Rajeev Vijayan.
