The Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Mandir astatine Sector–2 of the Ukkunagaram Township of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant celebrated its metallic jubilee with spiritual fervour and grandeur connected Sunday (December 21). The temple began arsenic a bhajan centre successful 1991 and evolved into a full-fledged spiritual and work centre successful 2000.
Sri Sathya Sai District Collector A. Shyam Prasad, on with R. Lakshmana Rao, State president, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations (SSSSO), Andhra Pradesh, and P.R.S.N. Naidu, territory president, Visakhapatnam, took part. Convener of Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi G. Ramakrishna presented a broad study highlighting the samithi’s 25-year travel of spirituality and service.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shyam Prasad said humility and selfless work are the hallmark of SSSSO. Mr. Lakshmana Rao observed that the samithi exemplifies Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s connection of “Service to Man is Service to God”. P.R.S.N. Naidu lauded the temple’s efforts towards the payment of the poor, orphans, the elderly, persons with disabilities and students.
