Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited, connected Monday launched the archetypal tug successful the bid of 3 70 tonne bollard propulsion tugs being built for M/s. Ocean Sparkle Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Ports & SEZ.

Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, launched the tug.

Speaking connected the occasion, the MP praised the efforts being enactment successful by Cochin Shipyard radical and Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited successful promoting the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives of the Union government, a merchandise from Udupi Cochin Shipyard Ltd. said.

Udupi-CSL has already delivered 2x62 T bollard propulsion tugs for Ocean Sparkle Limited successful 2023 and 2x70 T bollard propulsion tugs for Polestar Maritime Limited successful 2024.

Udupi-CSL besides has shipbuilding orders for operation of six 3800 deadweight wide cargo vessels and 8 6300 deadweight adust cargo vessels for M/s. Wilson ASA, Norway. Two of the 3800 deadweight wide cargo vessels person already been delivered.
