Delivering a large setback to the Left Democratic Front (LDF), the United Democratic Front (UDF) secured a wide bulk successful the Kannur Corporation by winning 36 of the 56 wards.
In the Kannur Corporation, wherever 1,35,780 of the full 1,93,079 voters formed their vote, the LDF finished a distant 2nd with 14 seats, portion the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 4 seats.
