The United Democratic Front (UDF) assumed powerfulness successful 11 of the 12 municipalities successful Malappuram territory connected Friday. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) continued successful powerfulness successful Ponnani municipality.
In Malappuram, the IUML’s V. Rinisha was elected municipal chairperson and the Congress’ Jithesh G. Anil was elected vice-chairperson.
The LDF’s C.V. Sudha was elected chairperson of Ponnani municipality, and C.P. Sakeer was elected vice-chairperson.
In Valanchery municipality, Haseena Vattoli of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) was elected chairperson erstwhile the Congress’ K.V. Unnikrishnan was elected vice-chairperson.
In Manjeri, the IUML’s Vallanchira Abdul Majeed was elected municipal chairperson erstwhile the Congress’ Beena Jose was elected vice-chairperson.
