U.S. authorities person announced the instrumentality of 657 antiquities, collectively valued astatine astir $14 million, to India. The pieces were recovered pursuant to respective ongoing investigations into transgression trafficking networks, including those of alleged antiquities trafficker Subash Kapoor and convicted trafficker Nancy Wiener.

The artefacts were returned astatine a ceremonial attended by Consul General of India Rajlakshmi Kadam successful New York.
