Two schoolchildren killed as auto plunges into stream in Pathanamthitta

Two children were killed erstwhile an autorickshaw carrying schoolhouse students fell into a watercourse adjacent Thoombakkulam successful Pathanamthitta connected Wednesday.

The dormant were identified arsenic seven-year-old Adilakshmi and four-year-old Yadhu Krishna. Adilakshmi was a Class 3 student. According to the police, the autorickshaw, which was transporting six children backmost from Sree Narayana School astatine Karimanthodu, plunged into a 50-ft-deep watercourse connected Wednesday evening aft the operator abruptly swerved to debar a snake connected the road.

While Adilakshmi was declared dormant soon aft the accident, the assemblage of Yadhu Krishnan was recovered aboriginal pursuing respective hours of hunt operations by Fire and Rescue Services personnel.

The injured children and the autorickshaw operator were admitted to a backstage infirmary and the Pathanamthitta General Hospital.
