Two autorickshaw drivers were killed and 3 others injured aft a lorry rammed into their conveyance connected the Chennai – Bengaluru National Highway adjacent Sriperumbudur successful the Kancheepuram territory connected Friday night.
Police said the mishap occurred erstwhile the autorickshaw, carrying 5 men, attempted to transverse the road from the incorrect side. The deceased were identified arsenic J. Dhanasekar, 23, of Sriperumbudur, and R. Dhanapal, 47, of Tiruvallur district.
The injured were rushed to a hospital. Police said the lorry operator fled the spot aft the accident. A lawsuit has been registered, and a hunt is connected to hint the driver, who is connected the run.
