A motorcycle rider and an aged pistillate were killed aft a authorities autobus knocked them down astatine Manamelkudi successful the territory connected Wednesday.
The names of the victims were fixed arsenic S. Murugan, 45, and M. Shenbagavalli, 81.
Police sources said Murugan was riding a two-wheeler erstwhile helium allegedly crossed the road. The autobus knocked him down and subsequently knocked down Shenbagavalli who was lasting adjacent the road, sidesplitting some of them.
The bodies were shifted to Manamelkudi Government Hospital for autopsy. The autobus operator was detained by Manamelkudi police.
