Two heads of cattle and one calf rescued from illegal abattoir in Bantwal

The Bantwal Rural constabulary connected Sunday, November 16, rescued 2 heads of cattle and a calf from a shed successful Arala colony of Bantwal taluk wherever they were kept to beryllium slaughtered. A study was sent to Assistant Commissioner, Mangaluru sub-division, to connect the shed and the adjoining location nether the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act.

The constabulary said that upon receiving a tip-off, they raided the shed connected the premises of the location of 1 Maiyadi, 57. Two persons escaped and constabulary nabbed Maiyadi.

Apart from rescuing 2 heads of cattle and a calf, they seized 150 kg of beef. Maiyadi had illegally drawn powerfulness from his location to the shed to slaughter cattle, the constabulary said.

Maiyadi was arrested for offences nether Sections 4, 5, 7, and 12 of Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, Section 11(1) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and Sections 303(2) and 307 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The hunt for the different accused is nether way.
