The Erode Police arrested 2 men connected Saturday, members of an Iranian gang, for stealing a two-sovereign golden concatenation from a jewellery store successful Guruvareddiyur village.
Police said the accused, Afsar(34) and Harib Hussain (27), entered the shop, owned by Murugan, connected August 19, pretending to acquisition jewellery. During the visit, they stole the golden chain.
Following the incident, Ammampettai constabulary registered a lawsuit and launched an investigation. The duo reportedly sold the stolen concatenation and spent astir of the proceeds. Authorities recovered ₹50,000 from them and produced some earlier court, which remanded them successful judicial custody.
