Two arrested for selling ganja, pain relief tablets in M.G.R. Nagar

The M.G.R. Nagar constabulary person arrested 2 men for selling ganja and symptom alleviation tablets and seized 3,500 tablets and 1.15 kg of ganja from them

A constabulary squad led by the Inspector of M.G.R. Nagar constabulary presumption acted connected a tip-off and conducted surveillance connected Tirunagar River Road successful West Jafferkhanpet connected Thursday.

During the operation, constabulary intercepted 2 persons lasting successful the country and searched their bag. Police said the hunt revealed they stocked ganja and symptom alleviation tablets for merchantability illegally. The 2 suspects were taken to the constabulary station, wherever a lawsuit was registered and they were arrested. The accused were identified arsenic Manikandan, 23, of Thideer Nagar, Besant Nagar, and Praveenkumar, 19, of Choolaipallam, M.G.R. Nagar.

Police seized 3,500 symptom alleviation tablets and 1.15 kg of ganja from their possession.

Investigations revealed the accused had allegedly procured the ganja from Andhra Pradesh and the symptom alleviation tablets from Mumbai, and were selling them successful Chennai. Further enquiry revealed Praveenkumar has 2 erstwhile transgression cases registered against him, including cases related to ganja possession and robbery. Following interrogation, some accused were remanded successful judicial custody.
