The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Tambaram City Police arrested 2 men for allegedly cheating a businessman of ₹4.62 crore by promising to put ample extents of cultivation onshore to buy.
The constabulary said the accused, Harikrishnan, 56, of Anumanthapuram, and Raghupathi, 59, of Adyar successful Chennai, had conspired to cheat the complainant, a businessman from Adyar. They claimed that they could put astir 100 acres of cultivation onshore successful areas nether Maraimalai Nagar taluk and Anumanthapuram colony by purchasing it from assorted landowners and transferring it to him.
