Tourism Minister inaugurates development works worth ₹1.79 crore in Salem

Tourism Minister R. Rajendran connected Wednesday (January 28, 2026) inaugurated and laid the instauration chromatic for improvement works worthy ₹1.79 crore successful Salem.

The Minister said that nether the Salem North Assembly Constituency Development Fund (2025–2026), completed projects worthy ₹1.44 crore were inaugurated. These included a rider structure adjacent the Government Women’s Arts College constructed astatine ₹18 lakh, a compound partition and footpath astatine Ezil Nagar built astatine ₹24 lakh, and Fair Price Shop gathering astatine Hasthampatti, the Hanging Garden complex, adjacent Vandipettai, and astatine the Arunachalam Street Municipal Primary School. Two further classrooms constructed astatine ₹40 lakh were besides inaugurated astatine the municipal superior school.

In addition, the Minister laid the instauration for a sewage drain canal task costing ₹35 lakh astatine the Bharathi Nagar Mariamman Temple area, covering some the bluish and confederate sections.
