The Tamil Nadu Untouchability Eradication Front (TNUEF) staged a sit-in protestation connected Tuesday (September 30, 2025) astatine the taluk bureau successful Palacode demanding burial onshore for the Adi Dravidar assemblage successful 3 panchayats of Palacode.
The protesters demanded burial onshore for Adi Dravidars, Arundhathiyars and Boyar residents of Kuppan Kottai successful Erranahalli panchayat; Ezhuguntur colony successful Panjapalli panchayat; and Athimutulu colony successful Athimutulu panchayat.
According to the CPM-affiliated TNUEF, the burial crushed was a long-standing petition and it was alleged that their request was not met. The protestation besides commemorated Comrade B. Srinivasa Rao, the Communist and state combatant connected his memorial time (September 30).
The protestation ended aft the constabulary held talks and assured the residents of a remedy.
